Ya, we call them “stripey shirts”. haha. But I should try to eat there some time.

Definitely recommend Bourbon & Branch – if for nothing else, the experience of having to have a reservation & use a password to have cocktails. It’s all secrety fun like.

Even though Le Colonial does get regular patronage from the “who are these people” crowd (I believe they’re called the “nouveau riche”) it does have stellar, if expensive, Vietnamese cuisine, and the Cosmo Alley location is historic – it used to house the original SF Trader Vic’s!

And that veranda’s actually quite nice when it’s not crowded.

Would you recommend Bourbon & Branch? I’d never heard of it til now.

I must clear my name…I actually didn’t pick out Le Colonial…that can be blamed on my Swedish friend. And when Swedish friends visit, I’ll follow them anywhere. hahaha. But, if we HADN’T hit Le Colonial, we never would have discovered “MAN PANTS”.

The rope line at the Hemlock makes me angry…and makes me want to find another rock bar to inhabit. sad.
