Once you’ve spent a few minutes being inspired by Mati’s journey to becoming a full time artist, check out the behind-the-scenes photos<\/a> from our videoshoot that I just uploaded to my Facebook Page<\/a>. We had so much fun that day!<\/p>\n

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

What is one artistic avenue you\u2019ve never explored, but would like to?

\nCOFFEE! Today I\u2019m experimenting with no coffee and am experiencing major withdrawal.<\/span><\/p>\n

What meaningful advice do you have for aspiring creative entrepreneurs?
\nBuild a community of talented people to have as your support system.<\/span><\/p>\n

What would you do with 1 miiiiillliiooooon dollars?
\nBuy a house in the Bay Area!<\/span><\/p>\n

How do you practice self care on a daily basis?
\nI take walks and have slow mornings.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is one piece of technology you can\u2019t live without?
\nRight now I\u2019d love to live with out technology for a week. :)<\/span><\/p>\n

What has been your biggest obstacle in living your dream?
\nThe green stuff!<\/span><\/p>\n

In the past year, what accomplishment(s) are you most proud of?
\nCreating Teahouse Studio<\/a> and Illustrating 2 kids books and a painting book!<\/span><\/p>\n

What’s your one tip for successfully running a small business?
\nGmail folders and to-do lists have saved me lately!<\/span><\/p>\n

What does ‘Creative Sustainability in Life and Business’ mean to you?
\nAddressing your whole life with self-care.<\/span><\/p>\n

How do you know Willo?
\nI met her at Renegade Craft fair and immediately felt an easy friendship with her! Then she became part of our biz group, LIDL<\/a>. She\u2019s a neighbor too, so we take hikes frequently!<\/span><\/p>\n

Given the choice between relaxation and adventure, which vacation would you choose?
\nRelaxation\u2026 this is coming from a place from being maxed out!<\/span><\/p>\n

What goals do you have for your business in the next 6 months?
\nLaunch my website and do good work!<\/span><\/p>\n

What has been your favorite moment so far today?
\nMy walk along the marina with a friend and her baby.<\/span><\/p>\n

Name one thing that owning your own business has given you the opportunity to work on.
\nTime management.<\/span><\/p>\n

Do you have any rituals that help you get in the flow?
\nI\u2019m such a closet hippie: I burn sage. ;)<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s your next big adventure?
\nTeaching a painting class at my studio.<\/span><\/p>\n

So many wonderful things goin’ on with this girl… and she’s so aware of her need to re-fill the well. I love my hikes with Mati… we just went on one this morning. And I’m so excited to see her books published, and take her painting class at Teahouse!<\/p>\n
