Here are a few photos from last weekend’s fabulous Women 2.0 Coworking event:
As I said in my first post, I truly LOVED attending this event. I had no idea I was going to enjoy it that much, quite honestly, but out of the few people I was able to connect with in those few hours, it’s already been amazing in just a matter of days.
I loved meeting Emily Goligoski (pictured with me above). She interviewed me & published a post on her blog just hours later. And then that got repurposed for a fabulous write-up on Josh Spear, which is great press for the WilloToons Shop – thank you, Emily! And of course, I then blogged about her blogging about me (hi, meta haha).

I was also excited to meet cutie Aviva Mohilner, who like myself (and many of the other awesome Women 2.0 attendees) is on a mission to do great things in our world. We ended up having coffee & coworking on Thursday for a few hours, saw each other again that night at the SFTweetUp @ 111 Minna (view my photos from this event) and again on Friday for coffee (because she left her power cord at my house). heee!

Have any of you read his book, The 4-Hour Workweek? Well, if not, I highly recommend it. I read it back in ’07 & ever since then I’ve magically only been working a few hours a week. Haha… ok, that might not be true, because if you know me, you know I hustle my butt off trying to get WilloToons off the ground, but I’m working on it! I definitely follow some of the great philosophies in the book and I enjoyed every bit of the read.
Essentially Tim’s big message is stick to what you’re best at and delegate, or outsource, the rest. As a small business owner, especially one that’s bootstrapping, this can be challenging, but it’s one I continually remind myself of. Tim also talks about streamlining the amount of data we’re consuming, which I know most of you can relate to! (If not, can I bring you on to help me consume some of mine? :)
I think I first met Tim in person at one of Aubrey’s fabulous wine get-togethers (back in Feb. ’08), and since then have seen him around here & there. I have a lot of respect for him and his life experiences, both personally and as a business man. Plus, because he’s an absolute sponge for information, any conversation with him is always insightful.
I’m so honored that he chose to wear my WilloToons rock squirrel tee for this Wired photoshoot. Just another great example of how incredibly supportive and wonderful my awesome community is! Thanks, Tim! You rock, buddy.

I met so many amazing women at yesterday’s Women 2.0 Coworking event at Citizen Space, one of them being the beautiful & talented Emily Goligoski. We had so much to talk about right away, between freelancing, social media (and Therapy 2.0 within our social media communities), music & more! What a peach. She did a short interview while we were there & within only about an hour or so had it up on her blog. Awesome!

My Canadian pals (or husbands, as I like to call them, because they are… they’re just not mine) gave me this badass flask the first night I showed up in Austin. I have better photos of it coming soon, which I’ll amend to this post when they’re up, but I just found this photo from my friend Eddie & had to post it. Just another nod to the awesomeness that was SxSW. This flask was the best conversation piece evar.
