Capsule Design Festival – THIS weekend!

Come visit me this weekend at the Capsule Design Festival! Ali & I will be working the WilloToons booth, #32 on Linden near Gough (I think I’ll be across the street/near Blue Bottle Coffee). Check out my tees in person, buy gifts for friends bdays or new babies – or heck, even start your holiday shopping early!

Also, if you RSVP here on Going, you will be entered into the 1pm & 3pm raffles giving away lots of prizes! One of them being Capsule bucks of some sort that is like a shopping spree among all the vendors there. I would love that prize, because I know there’s going to be a ton of stuff there I’d love to have too! :)

Note that this is the 2nd of a couple events I have coming up in the next month or so… it’d be great to see you out there.

My WilloToons Shop had a table at this prestigious Mom & Tot shopping event yesterday called Babes & Babies. Super fun!

It was an awesome learning experience for me, and my sweetie friend Jess helped – which was soo great! Thanks Jess! xo

I bet you look good on the dancefloor

This week has possibly been one of the more insanely busy weeks of my life. In a rockstar way, but never the less: OY.

Here’s a summary:

  • Posted an ad, interviewed & hired an InDesign person to help me tackle this huge (way bigger than I anticipated actually) book layout/design project I have.
  • Posted an ad, interviewed & hired a design intern/assistant – who is already kicking butt! Why didn’t I do this like a year ago!?!?
  • Did a group cooking class with my awesome friends (read Ali’s post about it).
  • First InDesign person didn’t work out, however my new intern, Adria, is rad & she got herself the job by osmosis! Great, all except for I really need her to be working on WilloToons stuff for the upcoming events. Still, massive progress is being made & that’s better than nothing. I feel less stressed just knowing things are getting taken care of. Not to mention having to delegate really helps get your own to-do lists in order.
  • Went to acupuncture, where they basically confirmed I’ve got lower back pain & am holding a lot of stress in my shoulders, I overthink and am stressed. Thanks for confirming that! They actually said some other things that I feel have plagued my thoughts this week, too. Now I’m overthinking my overthinking! gah.
  • Trained new intern, worked together on some WilloToons hangtag designs. OMG I have SO much to do! It’s exciting, but the event that’s in 1 week is coming way too fast. Especially because I have all these other deadlines. waaah! Maybe I need a 2nd intern? Hmm, serious possibility.
  • Hired yet another person to do yet another InDesign job. Really grateful to find people who are willing to work on short notice.
  • Yesterday (Thursday) I had my 6-week fitness test in Bootcamp, where you see how much you’ve improved throughout the course. I didn’t shave off too much time on the running (I think I’m a slow runner), but I nearly doubled the abs & push ups. yay! I love it so much & can’t wait to go back for the next 6-week session.
  • Squeezed in going to see Voxtrot & Arctic Monkeys (free tix – score!), but had to leave early to come home & continue working. They kicked ass though…. even though it was at the Warfield (one of my least favorite venues). Came home & had a Skype call with my developer who lives in Japan. Went to bed around 3:30.
  • This morning on 4 hours of sleep I went to my very last Bootcamp class. Sadly though tonight I’m missing the potluck closing party at my trainer’s house due to trying to launch this site in a few hours. :( sad!
  • The rest of the week has been chock full of preparing this site to go live. Uploading photos, editing content, communicating with developers, communicating with my client. Needing to squeeze in other rush client things. Not sleeping. Insert more crying here. And this weekend is full of work, work & more work.
  • Right now – while waiting for this developer to work on some stuff – I’m going to try to FINALLY tackle creating an email newsletter to announce the WilloToons Shop. Seriously, I haven’t even sent the link to family members yet or anything, wtf?!

I’d look great on a dancefloor, but alas, I have too much to do. The end. xo

willobot.com has been sitting around idly for a few years now, with the goal being eventually I would put my corporate web design portfolio up there.

Awhile back I had uploaded a few screenshots to Flickr, so finally today I atleast slapped up a little slideshow of said images.

And no, I so didn’t have time to do this today. Funny how you finally get stuff done when you really aren’t supposed to be working on it. heh.
