I hadn’t even planned to go out this year, but am glad I did, because I had such a fun night out!

Also, here’s a silly little video of me doing the dance that’s *sweeping the nation*: The Munchkin Dance! (in tribute to the original Munchkin Dancer, Ali! :p)

The past few days home (and not working) have been so wonderful!

Thursday I went & worked out, and then headed over to grab Aubs for our fancy mani/pedi appointments. Afterwards we had lunch (and wine!) at this yummy little french place in Russian Hill called Le Petit Robert, and then headed downtown to return gifts & cash in on some of the sales. SO FUN!

yay, it's sunny out!

It was a beautiful sunny blue sky day. We definitely shopped till we dropped, and I had just enough time to bring it all home, and grab a quick bite before going out to meet my good friend Holly for a drink (or 5) at Mission Bar. SO great to catch up with my girlfriends after being away!

Yesterday (Friday), I worked out & then had a surprise visit from my old friend Gradiva who needed to use my PC. Unfortunately my OS wasn’t updated enough for her needs (my PC basically has just been collecting dust for the last few years), but it was fun to see her & catch up none the less.

In the afternoon Baillie & I hit the SFMoma, which was fun (I hadn’t been there in waay too long), ate at yummy ‘withcraft downtown (I heart their logo, and my salad was pretty amazing, too), and then came back here & watched RIZE, which is such a trip! Have you seen it!?!? Seriously a fascinating look at what’s goin on with this whole krumping/clowning dance thing happening in the inner city. I had no idea! Anyway, I could elaborate, but I definitely recommend renting it.

OK, my hands are numb & I’m going to rearrange my apartment, but here’s a few more photos that sorta illustrate the bar hopping fun of the rest of last night. ;)

Hope you’re all having some relaxing days off too!

We had a wonderful Christmas here at the O’Brien’s! My Momma spoils us lucky girls so much. So fun!

I’ll post more details later, but right now I’ve been sitting in my pajamas all day geeking out on the computer, so it’s time to put some clothes on and get out of the house. hehe.

That said, if you’re still lounging around (as you should be) and/or at work (wishing you weren’t), then you should view the photos & vids!

home for the holidays

landing on ice

Well, after a 17 hour travel day I finally made it up to Steamboat on Friday night around 1:30am. oy.

It’s just as you would think it would be: snowy & cold! Thankfully, unlike SF, they have insulation & heat here in the mountains. Truly my only saving grace here in the midst of it all. Well that & the comforts of my Momma’s cozy home with the tree, decorations & cookies everywhere. danger danger! :p

o, christmas tree...

The first morning here, Haylie & I got up early & headed over to see off some close family friends before they flew out. Joe & Haylie are good friends & it was great we got to have a few hours of overlap to give some holiday hugs, because otherwise I hardly ever see them (they live in Florida).

Unfortunately I left my camera battery charger at home, and it’s dead now after these photos, but luckily I can use Haylie’s for the remaining time I’m home.

I can hardly believe Christmas is tomorrow! Seems like it just got here so fast this year. Or maybe it’s like that every year? Regardless, I’m glad to be home for a few days, relaxing and spending time with my Mom & sis.

I hope you’re having a wonderful holiday wherever you are! xo
