The prime time lull of summer has made my little TiVo so empty I never even turn on my TV or *look* to see what’s waiting anymore because I’m sure it’s empty. Instead I have resorted to watching parts of DVD’s in bed (w/ my new spare iBook – thanks Haylie & Mom!) until I get sleepy. I say parts of DVD’s because usually I would watch a quick episode of Scrubs or something at night to unwind, but with a DVD/movie, it’s so long I have to watch it in parts. So far I’ve done this with movies like Freaks & Geeks, Constant Gardener, Shark Tale, and Chicken Little. < I have about 20 minutes to go on this one. It's pretty cute - and way fun to hear Zach Braff's voice on the little chicken & Joan Cusack as his little ugly duckling friend! :) Anyway, the good news is Hez just wrote a post about what she thinks is fit to TiVo right now… or in her case FauxVo. hehe! Thanks Hez! I totally have been needing some new shows!

Any other suggestions are welcome!

I’m stoked… this weekend I’ve set aside some time for me to work on some of MY stuff. I’m going to break out the Gocco & make a mess all over the blank American Apparel t-shirts that I ordered months ago & have been sitting in a pile in my closet ever since, waiting to get prettified. I love it when the rest of the general public (aka my clients) are celebrating a holiday. I feel like it’s this sweet little gift of an extra 24 hours where I get to dive into whatever I need to do, whether it be catching up on a project for a client, or cleaning out my closet (which desperately needs to happen, actually).

Anyway, I like the idea of going to a BBQ and all, but after a month of partying it up pretty hard every weekend, I’m actually feeling really excited to dive back into my personal projects and take care of bidness!

I’m looking to get some custom pens made for a non profit I work with and was wondering if anyone either sells promotional items and/or has a friend they could refer me to? I know there’s a ton of places out there – I just like helping friends out, so let me know if you have someone you think I should order through so they can get my sale! :)

Pretty funny how they call it ‘cling film’… we’re so used to saying “Saran Wrap”. Right up there with “Bandaid” and “Kleenex”.

The same friend that sent me that also sent me this link to photos of a PETA protest where they have humans wrapped in cellophane, to compare eating meat with cannibalism. Which IMO is bullshit and they’ve taken it a little too far. Eating a cow is nowhere near like eating a human… gimme a break. *rolls eyes*

Still, the imagery is pretty shocking. PETA is definitely good at that!

Personally I like their Sexiest Vegetarians campaign better. ;) (also see Sexiest Vegetarian Next Door)
