yes we’re back

Yes! We’re back from the GIANT, HUMONGOUS, LARGER THAN LIFE Big Apple!!!! It was amaaaaaaazing! SOooo many people, and yes, I can say that again! So many people – where do ALL these people come from!?!!? San Francisco is a small sleep hick town compared to NYC! But don’t get me wrong – I dont think anything can unbridle my passionate love affair with the bay area :)

SO we did sooooooo much! I am going to put up some goodies for ya’all soon – but I’ll quickly run down all that we did: Times Square, Staten Island Ferry, Ellis Island/Statue of Liberty (of course :), Empire State Building, Katz’s Deli, Soho, the Village (which I love!!!! I would live there in a second!) And we saw 4 shows!!! Upright Citzens Brigade ROCKS, Book of Liz (just ok, :( we were bummed it wasn’t better… entertaining just not 5 star), Proof < broadway show w/ Mary-Louise Parker – INCREDIBLE! We loved it. ANd then De La Guarda which was SOOOOOO AWESOME!!!! I highly recommend that to anyone who goes to NY – the less you know about it the better so just go!!! We also ate and drank at sooo many yummy places: Republic, the Coffee Shop, Corner Bistro, Whitehorse Tavern, Orlogio, Pho, just to name a few. And the most hilarious was the surprise we got at Panna II – this great indian place that has red hot pepper lights everywhere and loud indian music – great food – Gotta love that whole square block (they have the same kitchen) :) – It’s a BYOB restaurant – and Sybil told em it was Matts bday – if you ever go for indian – Go to Panna II and tell them it’s someones birthday – you will PEE your PANTS!!! It was HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed in Brooklyn with Matt’s friends, Sybil & Craig – Ya 718! Love Smith Street – sooo damn cute. Favorite store has to be Swallow – it’s beautiful glass work – amazing…. makes me want a store like that. Oh goodness – what else…… there was so much! We shopped shopped shopped which you know I LOVED. OOoh! We went to kick ass museums: The Guggenheim, The Whitney & the Met

Central Park was dreamy and huge & just an amazing green breath of fresh air smack in the middle of this huge city – very cool. New York Pizza is TO DIE FOR!!! I want a piece RIGHT NOW!!!! mmmmmmmmm!

Have you seen the movie Bonnie & Clyde? It’s AWESOME! It’s most definately one of my favorites now! We watched it last week…. meant to shout it out earlier, I was so pumped up the day after I watched it – it’s really a classic! Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway are knockouts! rent it!

Lastnight we watched Snow Falling on Cedars – a really beautiful and truly enlightening story as to what happened in our country around the time of the bombing of Pearl Harbor…. so sad and intense. I must read the book now!
